Supply Chain Manager for International Company - Simatek A/S
Do you have experience creating structure, stability and predictable processes in an international supply chain - and are you curious about leading an operational procurement and shipping team across Denmark and India? In this key role, you will connect the entire value chain, secure a stable flow from supplier to warehouse and play a decisive role in both daily operations and strategic development, including the upcoming ERP transition.
On behalf of Simatek A/S, Career | a JKS Company is searching for a strong, reliable and relationship-oriented Supply Chain Manager to lead, stabilize and further develop the company’s procurement, shipping and logistics function.
Role Overview
This position plays a central role in cross-functional coordination and aims to ensure a predictable and stable operational procurement flow from supplier to warehouse. You will bring clarity, structure and daily operational discipline to an international organization in motion.
As Supply Chain Manager, you lead and stabilize the operational procurement and shipping team of six employees located in Denmark and India (remote). You ensure clear priorities, robust processes and an efficient, quality-assured flow throughout the entire supply chain.
You ensure timely and accurate purchase orders, confirmations and supplier communication, full documentation quality (booking, packing lists, certificates) and close alignment with Engineering, Projects and Order Handling - ensuring a coordinated and predictable value chain.
A key responsibility is creating transparency around challenges, including transit deviations, resource usage, delivery risks and improvement opportunities, providing management with a clear, fact-based decision foundation.
You also contribute directly to the strategic development of the organization. This includes close collaboration with Strategic Sourcing on lead times, capacity and supplier performance, as well as ongoing contributions to RAR work and strategic breakdown sessions, where you translate strategic goals into realistic operational actions.
In addition, you will act as the operational lead for procurement and shipping during the 2026 ERP migration (XAL → BC). You will ensure team adoption of new processes and workflows, identify data issues, process gaps and dependencies in time, and support testing, training and stabilization to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Your tasks
In this role, you will have a broad and impactful area of responsibility, working hands-on with daily operations while also driving essential cross-functional and strategic activities. You will ensure predictable processes, data-driven decisions and alignment across the team.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that all purchasing and planning decisions are based on requirements, current inventory and supplier lead times
- Building and maintaining strong cross-functional alignment between Procurement, Sourcing, Engineering, QA/QC, Warehouse and Projects, acting as the central link ensuring seamless coordination and communication across all functions.
- Driving daily operations with clear prioritization, stable delivery performance and structured workflows
- Providing early warnings, realistic expectations and transparent communication about risks and dependencies
- Acting as the operational key person in the ERP transition
Your role will be essential in creating stability, calmness and structure in an organization undergoing continued development. You will ensure that operational execution and strategic direction are aligned - and that cross-functional processes run predictably, transparently and professionally. You will also conduct performance reviews and support continuous competence development across the team.
Your expertise and experience
You have a background in procurement, logistics, shipping, supply chain or production, and bring a minimum of 5 years of experience as a team lead with personnel responsibility in roles that require structure, clear processes, and strong leadership. You are motivated by working in an organization where functions such as sourcing and QA/QC are being further matured and professionalized.
You are accustomed to working in an international environment. You have experience from a similar industrial company — particularly one that relies on external suppliers for production, where close follow-up on purchasing and production planning is essential. You enjoy close cross-functional collaboration and thrive in an organization in transition, where priorities are clear and the team delivers predictably.
You bring experience within:
- Supplier management and international collaboration (EU, China)
- KPI management, resource planning and process optimization
- Maintaining a stable daily flow in procurement, shipping and logistics
- Early identification of risks and proactive action
You are an experienced user of the Microsoft Office suite and accustomed to working with ERP systems. Experience with XAL or BC is a clear advantage, and you ideally have experience with ERP transition projects. You enjoy delivering clear, fact-based input to both RAR and ERP-related activities and speak and write English in a high level.
