Working Foreman – Asbestos Removal
Do you thrive in a hands-on role where safety, structure and teamwork are essential?
Recover is looking for a dedicated Working Foreman to join their asbestos team. This is a newly established role where you will combine practical asbestos removal work with daily planning, quality control and team coordination.
You will become part of a professional environment with clear procedures, high safety standards and close collaboration across different nationalities and cultures.
For the right person, the role offers the opportunity to grow into responsibility for multiple teams over time.
About the job
As Working Foreman, you will become part of a dedicated two-person asbestos team where you combine hands-on operational work with daily coordination onsite. You will actively participate in demolition, asbestos removal and cleaning tasks alongside your colleague while ensuring that work is carried out efficiently and according to current regulations.
Recover operates with very high safety standards within asbestos work. The role involves respiratory protection, full protective equipment and strict decontamination procedures, including three-chamber airlock systems and mandatory safety routines onsite.
Your responsibilities include:
Daily planning and coordination of work onsite
Practical asbestos removal, demolition and cleaning tasks
Quality assurance, documentation and reporting
Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and regulations
Communication regarding progress, changes and deviations
Projects are often carried out within tightly scheduled timeframes, so it is important that you can maintain an overview, assess situations quickly and adapt when the scope of work changes.
The position is initially connected to one asbestos team, but over time the responsibility may expand to coordination and planning for additional teams.
About you
You may come from the construction industry, demolition work or another background where you have gained technical understanding of buildings and structures. Experience with asbestos work is an advantage, but not a requirement if you are willing to complete the necessary training.
You are structured, detail-oriented and comfortable taking responsibility in the daily work. You maintain an overview in busy situations, communicate clearly and are not afraid to address issues when needed.
Since you will work closely with colleagues from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds, strong communication skills and cultural understanding are important. Professional-level English, both spoken and written, is required due to safety procedures and documentation requirements.
We also expect that you:
Have a good physical condition and enjoy practical work
Hold a valid driver’s licence
Can provide a clean criminal record and, if required, be eligible for security clearance related to specific projects
